Trust amidst the rain

It has been raining quite heavy again these days. Funny how unprepared my dear Manila is still, eventhough storm after storm had passed for like centuries already. We havent learned our lessons, have we? We prayed for the rain but we have been unable to prepare ourselves for it. So sad.

While most of us have shelter to cover us up each time heavy rainfall comes, some of our poor kababayans dont have a decent place to hide their shivering body. Why in the world has this been recurring? Is there not enough treasure on earth for the millions of people occupying it? Or was it just because some 10% of the population enjoys the luxury of these treasure and had never come to mind the value of sharing it. Sad. Really sad.

Can someone fathom the depth of the sea? Can anyone count the number of stars? Will one measure the length of east to west or north to south? We couldnt even count how many strands of hair we have. But God knows it all. With our little understanding of the things around us, no one can actually grasp the Lord's plans.

and so we have to know how to TRUST. no ifs no buts. just do it with arms wide open.

proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

In the midst of all these heavy rain, God is brewing something for all of us. We just have to acknowledge His ways and TRUST!

verse of the day

“ Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”” (Matthew 20: 17-19)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible.)
