2 days before my birthday
usually i am on a vacation, just having a great time with my family. er, not that i am not good at the moment but of course having extra bed time, play time and tv time with the kids are just more appealing than going to school, making your term paper, having to sleep around 4 in the morning.
i can't write much at the moment but many things had transpired since. i am happy yet there are so many other issues to deal with before i could freely say the rain is over. i don't wanna go back in that journey but i'm thankful i had.
drizzle may come once in a while and i will welcome it just because it will make me more stronger and will make me love more the things that i have right now.

my term paper makes me insane. wake me up when september starts, that's the only time to PARTY!!!

Start of Something NEW
August is definitely my month! Love it, love it!!!
My August 2007 is a bit different, but it still has this components I keep on having every year:
Bits of disappointments
Reality checks a many (hehe)
Dozen and dozen of "work as if there's no tomorrow"
Rain and super storms [literally and methaporically speaking =) ]
Gifts - Yey gifts!- those unexpected little things that brighten my day are the best
and of course my new set of Something New!!!
New Friends!
New Shoes hahaha, girl ako eh!
New perfume - Pleasures by Estee Lauder (syemps idol si Gwyneth Paltrow) ; btw, i don't usually use it kc tinitipid ko harhar
New Bag - freebie from Pleasures
New Cellphone (im not overspending, the phone is free! my 3 year contract with globe ended so i took another one this time 2 years lang)
New Number (i won't post it for obvious reasons)
New Pictures by Randell (haha...i still don't have pics, I will next time)
Oh, and this year is way loaded than last year. While I was busy beading and making cellphone cases last year, school's paperworks and finals keep me busy this year. Awwww, as in the load is too many. The vacation leave, I suppose, is enough to keep me sane. i dont actually know if i'll be able to get my scholarship pa next term. Well, whatever happens will happen anyway. So I guess I just have to concentrate on doing my best rather than pressure myself with the scholarship thing. But do pray for me allright? It would boost me up big time.
I hope God will grant me another rainbow same as last year. But then that will mean raindrops will come too. No cares, rainbow during birthdays are the bestest gift ever! Men can't do that for you.
So its a start of something new!
It feels all right to be here with you.
And now looking in your eyes.
I feel in my heart.
Its start of something new!
(Don't put meaning in the words they were from a lyric. i wanted to add the audio here pero I cant. Medyo technical pag add ng audio and I dont have enough time to learn about it)
So happy birthday me! 28 na ko! Happy =)
btw today is ninoy aquino day, but due to holiday economics the holiday was moved to esterday 'monday". oks lang kasi i'm on leave. i bet, you will scold me for blogging instead of reviewing. eh pano namen, mas enjoy mag-blog kesa sa magreview. okies? i love gsb rcbc, ok lang kung mahirapan ako magdala ng laptop dito. hahaha.

SuperTyphoon Egay and the Weakening Peso
Two super news hit Manila: EGAY & Peso:Dollar = 46.43
Well Egay is a natural phenomenon an inevitable event that our country had been experiencing year after year. So even though they call it 'super' i still don't see it so shocking.
Peso:Dollar =46.43, haaay how come this forex keeps on changing. Kainis. My assumptions will have to change drastically from our prior projection of 45:1 to say 47 again? Maybe it will correct itself in December when remittance from kababayan abroad comes.
Ok, this entry is not interesting. i just added it for me to write what's what with our country, and have a glimpse of it in the future.
BTW, i wonder what's the weather in BORA!

Trust amidst the rain
It has been raining quite heavy again these days. Funny how unprepared my dear Manila is still, eventhough storm after storm had passed for like centuries already. We havent learned our lessons, have we? We prayed for the rain but we have been unable to prepare ourselves for it. So sad.
While most of us have shelter to cover us up each time heavy rainfall comes, some of our poor kababayans dont have a decent place to hide their shivering body. Why in the world has this been recurring? Is there not enough treasure on earth for the millions of people occupying it? Or was it just because some 10% of the population enjoys the luxury of these treasure and had never come to mind the value of sharing it. Sad. Really sad.
Can someone fathom the depth of the sea? Can anyone count the number of stars? Will one measure the length of east to west or north to south? We couldnt even count how many strands of hair we have. But God knows it all. With our little understanding of the things around us, no one can actually grasp the Lord's plans.
and so we have to know how to TRUST. no ifs no buts. just do it with arms wide open.
In the midst of all these heavy rain, God is brewing something for all of us. We just have to acknowledge His ways and TRUST!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

jeremiah 31:13
I will turn their mourning into gladness;
i will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrows.
Oh Lord can I have it now?
edit:
adversity a wake up call
i will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrows.
Oh Lord can I have it now?
edit:
God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world. ---C. S. Lewis

letting go
Galing 'to kay Victor Joel, ang mabait na bata naalala kong forwardan at nag-IM pa sabi basahin ko na daw. Eto yun. Nabasa ko na to dati pero nonetheless, its the utot that counts!!!
The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.
"Oh Mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?"
Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face.
"A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma."
As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.
Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.
Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenny , "Do you love me?"
"Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you."
"Then give me your pearls."
"Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy ? The one you gave me. She's my very favorite."
"That's okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night." And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.
About a week later, after the story time, Jenny's daddy asked again, "Do you love me?"
"Daddy, you know I love you."
"Then give me your pearls."
"Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper."
"That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you."
And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.
A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style.
As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek.
"What is it, Jenny? What's the matter?"
Jenny didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, "Here, daddy; this is for you."
With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny's daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.
He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure. So it is, with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures. Isn't God good? Are you holding onto things that God wants You to let go of? Are you holding on to harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities that you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing.
God will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

howler!
"why aren't we allowed to pick the flowers of a fruit bearing tree?"
for us to enjoy the fruit itself. because if we choose to pick the flowers there'd be no fruit for us to enjoy.
this morning a howler from J.K.Rowling said "HOW COULD YOU EM?"
I'm sorry. I was only looking for names then I thought of hermione and there I was, inside her wikipedia. Waaaaah, and there i saw a major spoiler of what happened to her. Waaaaaaaah.
Sometimes I want to internalize every bit of word in the book, just so I'll have more time to spend with Harry. Then, there were times i would wanna scan everything just so i would know what happened.
But i hate spoilers. I want surprises to come my way. My gifts during Christmas time aren't opened till 12midnight. I'm sorry Ms.Rowling, but I'm more sorry to myself.
This is just one of those things you won't enjoy if you rush it. haaaaaay. at least I still don't know if harry dies. If you know the story, dare not tell me the ending. I will not forgive you. =P
